Fremantle has shored up the futures of two promising young midfielders, with Hayden Crozier and Cam Sutcliffe both signing contract extensions.

The pair, who were out contract at the end of 2013, will be at Fremantle until the end of 2015 after they agreed to two-year extensions.

Both players performed roles in Freo’s win against Gold Coast on Saturday night.

Nineteen-year-old Crozier, who was taken with the 20th pick in the 2011 National Draft, kicked two goals among 14 disposals against the Suns.

Sutcliffe, 20, was selected with pick 71 in the 2011 National Draft. He came on as the sub against Gold Coast and kicked a goal.

Fremantle general manager of player management Brad Lloyd said securing the futures of the club’s best young talent was a priority at Fremantle.

“Hayden and Cam are hard working and dedicated young men and we’re very excited to have them commit to the club,” he said.

“We look forward to seeing them continue to develop and contribute in 2013 and beyond.”
