Fremantle has brought back Aaron Sandilands and Nick Suban for Saturday night’s clash with Adelaide at Patersons Stadium

Recruit Matt Taberner was the other inclusion, with Alex Silvagni, Tom Sheridan and Jack Hannath the three omissions.

They will be the emergencies for the match.

Fremantle general manager of football Chris Bond said Sandilands had been sorely missed against Richmond last Sunday.

“Because he’s been out for such a long period of time it was a hiccup he didn’t need, but he’s trained really well this week and we’re expecting him to be fully fit for the rest of the year,” he said.

Bond said Suban was also a welcomed addition.

“Nick’s had a pretty good year for us,” he said.

“He’s had a couple of week’s off, so we’re really keen to get him back playing the footy that he was in the earlier part of the year.”

The football manager said Taberner, who debuted against North Melbourne in round 13 and played two games, had earned another crack at AFL level.
“It’s really exciting for him and us,” he said.

“We feel that he’s got a great future at the club.

“It’s going to be a really tough ask against some quality players but we wouldn’t pick him if we weren’t confident he could perform.”

Bond said it was disappointing for the three omitted players, but he added all had the ability to come back into the side.

“We’re still really keen to see those guys force their way back in the future and we’ve got no doubt that they will,” he said.

The Crows will be without superstar Patrick Dangerfield, but as Geelong found out last week, Brenton Sanderson’s side still had plenty of class on all lines.

“We were able to beat them earlier this year, but before that they’ve certainly had the wood on us,” Bond said.

“We’ve got a great deal of respect for their playing list, the way they play, the way they’re coached, so we’re in for a hell of a game this weekend.”
