Fremantle is set to smash its regular season away attendance record in Sunday’s clash with Richmond at the MCG.

The biggest home and away crowd the club has ever played in front of was 45,436 against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in round 1 2003.

The MCC has estimated Sunday’s clash at the ‘G will draw a crowd of around 52,000.

It’s another indication of the growing prominence Ross Lyon’s Fremantle is gaining in the eastern states.
