1. Are you satisfied with that performance today?

Once your satisfied you’re in trouble. We came here to get the four points. Good teams win interstate and we’ve done that. We get on the plane healthy. A few corkies, and a really big challenge against Essendon on the Friday night with a short turnaround. We stared really well. Against West Coast we didn’t start well. That was a focus and the players delivered on that. It really put us in the drivers seast. There were some inconsistencies, plenty to work on.

2. How do you reflect on the last 3 quarters?

We were pretty solid. I thought we were dominant. We just got a bit sloppy in the second. We dominated entries and didn’t convert effectively. I thought we could have been a bit more polished. At the start of the third we jumped right out and used the ball brilliantly.

3. There’s nothing you can do about it, but is it tough having the week off?

I don’t think so. You just play what’s put in front of you. It gave us some freshness and bite early. We knew we’d trained really well, so that gave us some confidence that we’d play well.

4. You said you had some pretty sore boys, are you confident you’ll be right for next week?

The doctors have said there was nothing major. There was a cork for Clancee Pearce and Michael Johnson had a collision late.

5. How’s Pav’s body?

Resally good. I thought he was really solid today. He had five shots on goal.

6. Are you disappointed with the team’s stoppage work today?

You can look at numbers, but on goals, we’ve kicked six from stoppages. They’re a really good clearance team. They kicked nine against the Lions last week and five today. I thought it was a pretty good effort by us.

7. Walters and Crozier as small forwards without Ballantyne… what did you think of them?

I thought they were pretty handy. I’m sure we’ll find a spot for Hayden Ballantyne though.

8. Is Ballantyne an automatic (selection)?

He’s automatic.

9. Lower goes to Mundy, which frees up Hill & Pearce from the tag. Is that good for them?

He’s one of our true leaders, David. It helps. The more quality you have, the better you be.
