New recruits Michael Apeness, Alex Pearce and Brady Grey joined their teammates for the first time on the track.

The draftees were eased into training before joining the main group for some simple skill drills. For 198cm Tasmanian Alex Pearce he was just happy to train.

"We've been looking forward to getting our hands on the footy, so it was good to get out there and get amongst it with the boys," Pearce said.

Potential Irish recruit Sean Hurley had the full attention of Fremantle's development staff as they helped him with some technical aspects of the game away from the main group.

The players then finished off the session with some endurance work, which was a nice little introduction for Brady Grey.

"First running with the Freo boys was tough," Grey said.
