Rain greeted the Fremantle players who made it out onto the track this morning as the team continued its preparations for next Saturday’s home preliminary final.

The two that most people had their eyes on were injured stars Garrick Ibbotson and Michael Johnson.

The pair missed Freo’s stirring qualifying final win in Geelong - Ibbotson with an Achilles that has kept him out since round 19, and Johnson with a calf.

They only ran in straight lines under the watchful eye of club conditioning staff, however both seemed in good spirits.

They will be put through more rigorous testing next week, when the team ramps up its preparations to face either Sydney or Carlton.

Most of the senior players who did train, including Matthew Pavlich, Stephen Hill, Michael Barlow and Nat Fyfe, were only put through a light session.

Nick Suban, who subbed out hurt at Simonds Stadium, was not on the track.
