The Fremantle Football Club has ruled out challenging the AFL Tribunal’s decision to fine Ryan Crowley $1200 for pinching Brent Harvey in the club’s 38-point win over North Melbourne on Sunday at Patersons Stadium.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond today confirmed that there would be no challenge to the tribunal’s ruling on the misconduct charge.

“We were surprised and disappointed by the outcome last night but all along we have supported Ryan and we will continue to support him,” Bond said.

Crowley, who won the Doig Medal last year as Fremantle’s fairest and best player, said he was bitterly disappointed by the result.

“I just want to reiterate my statement to the tribunal hearing, where I am bound to tell the truth, that I never intentionally, accidentally or in any way pinched Brent Harvey at any stage throughout the game,” Crowley said.
