Fremantle has had its first main training session of the week ahead of Sunday’s match against North Melbourne at Patersons Stadium.

The side always has its two main sessions four and two days before a game, which means the final session before the Kangaroos match will be on Friday.

Classy small forward Michael Walters, who is expected to return on Sunday if he gets through this week’s training, did not join the main group.

He ran a series of short sprints at the start of the session, but it’s likely he’ll be fully put through his paces on Friday.

In good news for Fremantle fans, star veterans Matthew Pavlich and Aaron Sandilands joined the main group and could be set for returns in the coming weeks.

Anthony Morabito was also in the main group as his comeback gathers momentum.

A selection of players were on light duties, including David Mundy, Danyle Pearce and Hayden Crozier, who ran laps of Fremantle Oval.
