Fremantle has regained the talents of Stephen Hill for Saturday’s clash with Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

Cam Sutcliffe was the only player to come out of the team that defeated Melbourne by 90 points last week.

He was listed as an emergency for the match against the Crows, along with Tom Sheridan and Matt Taberner.

Fremantle general manager of football Chris Bond said Hill, who was close to resuming from a quad injury last week, had ticked all the boxes to play against Adelaide.

“We’re really pleased with how Stephen’s trained and how he’s worked through it,” Bond said.

“He’s got through today’s (training) session really well, so he’ll come back into the team.”

Making way for Hill was young midfielder Sutcliffe, who Bond said had impressed the club this season.

“He’s been the sub a few times but he’s also come into the team and played full-game roles for us as well, and he’s done that very well,” he said.

“Cam’s got a great level of fitness about him and he’s a second year player that’s really improved.”

Adelaide lost a heartbreaking preliminary final to Hawthorn in 2012, a week after knocking Freo out of the finals.

They had a remarkable win over North Melbourne last Sunday in which they erased a 30-point final quarter deficit.

“We think they have a talented list and they’re certainly coming off an excellent season last year,” Bond said.

“They had an outstanding win last weekend that will give them a great deal of confidence.

“Even though they’ve had their fair share of injuries throughout this year, like everyone has, they’re a very even squad and they’re going to be a very dangerous team.”

The Crows defeated Fremantle three times in 2012, and Bond said the side had to improve all over the field to turn the tables.

“We obviously weren’t good enough in offence as well as our defence,” he said.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game, they’ve got some elite players on their team, so we’re going to have to make sure we counteract them really well.”
