Highlight – Pavlich kicked eight goals in two weeks in rounds 21 and 22 to show he was ready for the finals despite limited playing time in 2013.

Summary – The skipper only played 12 games because of injury and suspension. However, he was importantwhen he returned for the club’s raid on the finals, booting 18 goals in the year’s final seven games.

Finals

Qualifying Final – 14 disposals, 5 marks, 2 goals
Preliminary Final – 15 disposals, 5 marks, 2 goals
Grand Final – 13 disposals, 6 marks, 3 goals

Summary – Seven goals in the three finals was a solid return for the captain in September action.

Outlook: If he plays every game up to round 9 next season, Pavlich will chalk up game number 300 against Geelong at Patersons Stadium. If and when the skipper reaches the milestone, it will be yet another moment to reflect on what has been a brilliant career. He turns 33 next year, so ‘Pav’ will be looking for a strong pre-season to ensure he stays out on the park more than he did in 2013.
