Stephen Hill has been withdrawn from Fremantle’s starting 22 to face Port Adelaide on Sunday at Metricon Stadium.
The versatile midfielder/defender has been replaced by Nathan Wilson, who will slot in at half back.
Wilson was initially named to play in round two against Brisbane but was a late withdrawal due to a back spasm. The game will be Wilson’s first since round 19 last season.
Fellow defender Taylin Duman has replaced Wilson as an emergency.
Hill did not take part in Fremantle’s captains run at the Burleigh Bombers Football Club on Saturday morning due to soreness in his calf after sustaining a cork at training on Thursday night.
Forward Jesse Hogan will play against the Power after completing the captain’s run.
Hogan was treated for facial cuts after a gym mishap at Bond University on Friday and has since been given the all clear.
“Jesse completed the session, he was fine,” said senior manager of football operations Joe Brierty on 94.5FM on Saturday.
“He had a bit of a mishap in the gym yesterday but he went through the captain’s run today and he’s good and ready to go. The doctor has ticked him off.”
