Kepler Bradley 24 disposals (8 kicks, 16 handballs) 6 marks,

Kepler played as a key back for three quarters and went forward in the fourth quarter. He played with great effort, which was typified by a passage of play in the third quarter with his off-ball run, where he ran over 100m, put physical contact on the opposition resulting in Peel winning the wall and rebounding out of their defence. In his second game back Kepler found plenty of the ball and we are really happy with his progress.

Tom Vandeleur 15 disposals (9 kicks, 6 handballs) 4 marks

Tom played half back for the game. He showed passages where he looked to rebound out of defence, one where he kicked to advantage resulting in a goal assist. He still needs to work on his composure down back and having a strong impact in the aerial contest.

Tom Sheridan 17 disposals (9 kicks, 8 handballs) 4 tackles

Tom played on the wing for three quarters with modified game time. He ran hard through the lines and showed good intensity to tackle in the contest with full body tackles. He was also strong in defensive transition.

Brady Grey
17 disposals (8 kicks, 9 handballs) 2 marks

Brady played as a pressure forward early and went to half back for the second half, where he played on Paul Bevan. He played well in the one-on-one contests and had some strong spoils and showed some good tackle pressure in the defensive half with five tackles. Brady is demonstrating that he is a real competitor.

Craig Moller
10 disposals (3 kicks, 7 handballs) 2 marks

Craig played primarily as a key forward with a back up role in the ruck for Jonathon Griffin. As opposed to recent weeks, he had minimal impact on the game over the four quarters. He started the game with some sharp leading and was able to find space in the first quarter. He also showed that he is clean by hand in congestion where he was really quick to use the first option. Craig will work on getting back to building on how he has played over the past couple of weeks.

Jon Griffin 14 disposals (4 kicks, 9 handballs) 7 marks, 42 hitouts

Jon played the majority of the game in the ruck, where he showed ongoing improvement with his overall performance and ability to compete, both in the ruck and his two way running. He showed some really good control of space in the ruck contests and ball-ups and throw-ins, and there was high accuracy of hitouts to advantage. He worked really hard on the spread to find space and worked to win possessions from the contests, and was constantly referencing his opponent in defensive transition. It was a positive game from Jon.

Josh Simpson
12 disposals (7 kicks, 5 handballs) 3 marks

Josh didn’t have a big influence on the day, playing as a high forward and midfielder. He showed instances where he did look to create quick corridor ball use and needs to get back to staying close and winning his own football around the contest.

Matt Taberner 16 disposals (11 kicks, 5 handballs) 9 marks, 1 goal

Matt was highly active in the first quarter and, as per usual, had a solid work rate throughout in what was a challenging day for a forward. In the first quarter he took five marks and worked really good to get back inside forward 50 and hit up the kicker. His field kicking has really improved and he showed some positive contests and attack on the ball at ground level.

Garrick Ibbotson 23 disposals (12 kicks, 11 handballs) 4 marks

Garrick played on the wing, where he attempted to generate some run and drive and showed passages where he was clean and composed and found a lot of space. Garrick had nine ground balls and looked to run and support in defence.

Michael Wood 15 disposals (11 kicks, 4 handballs) 3 marks, 1 goal *Reserves

Michael played midfield and deep forward where he showed some positive passages of play. He had some good passages of breaking to space,  strong tackle and a good goal in the fourth quarter. We will just build on the number of instances we see this throughout the game.
