WAFL Watch: Round 3 - Defenders
Find out how Freo's players fared in the recent round of WAFL action.
Anthony played in defence, and it is really positive to see him stringing games together. There were a number of instances where he showed good composure under pressure and as a defender showed some good starting points early in the game. Anthony will continue to build as the weeks progress.
Clancee Pearce 39 disposals (18 kicks, 21 handballs) 10 marks, 6 tackles
Clancee played inside mid and was proactive and productive with his ball use. He showed some good bodywork around stoppages and worked hard to support the defence with his off ball run. It was a solid performance from Clancee.
Thomas Vandeleur 10 disposals (5 kicks, 5 handballs)
Tom played in defence and it was a good learning game for him in regards to his defensive positioning and physicality. Working on those aspects of his game will be the focus going forward.
Sam Menegola 6 disposals (3 kicks, 3 handballs)
Sam had a role to play on Tim Geappen and had a strong performance holding him to three possessions in the first half. Sam unfortunately injured his knee and took no further part in the game. Overall, he looked strong in the contest and was physical and effective with his spoils and stopping his opponent.
