Ryan Crowley has revealed the shocking truth behind one of the AFL’s most shared, re-tweeted and re-gramed photos.
Crowley and Richmond star Brett Deledio were last week pictured on the Tiger’s Instagram account sitting next to each other on a Virgin Australia flight from Melbourne to Perth.
The pair know each other well on the footy field. Deledio is usually Crowley’s go-to-man when the two teams meet.
It’s been claimed that Crowley takes tagging so seriously, he follows his man all the way to the car park after a game.
Deledio’s Instagram photo showed that ‘Crowls’ tag had indeed gone too far, or too high, rather.
Now, the truth has come out.
Crowley used popular Docker TV show ‘The Freo Newsroom’ to come clean.
“I was coming back from Melbourne over the bye weekend, I got to go home and see my family and I rocked in at the Virgin Lounge and noticed the whole Richmond team were there,” he said.
“I felt a bit isolated with all the yellow and black, but me and Brett thought it’d be pretty funny if we mocked up a photo and pretended we were sitting next to each other.
“We just thought it’d be a bit of a laugh.”
Good one, guys!
