Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow has praised retired dual-Brownlow Medallist Chris Judd as a role model for footballers.
The Carlton and West Coast legend announced his retirement Tuesday morning after suffering a significant knee injury at the weekend.
Barlow said Judd was a champion of the game.
“He is revered as the complete A-grade player in the competition,” he said.
Every game is a Grand Final: Barlow
“His playing talent speaks for itself.
“His ability to win a clearance in congestion, and with just two or three steps is out in the open, is a talent many would love to have.”
Barlow said Judd’s legacy was not just on field.
“He is a complete role model for players coming into the game and how they should play and act,” he said.
“He’s been a fantastic player and role model for the whole AFL.”
