Fremantle face Melbourne on Saturday night at TIO Stadium in Darwin.
Freo will need to make at least two changes with Nat Fyfe (hamstring) and Aaron Sandilands (calf) ruled out with injury.
Here’s who could come in for the clash, with a number of Fremantle-listed players impressing for Peel in their 18-point victory against Swan Districts.
Bradley Hill
The running midfielder is set to make his return in time for his brother Stephen’s 200th game. The 2017 Doig Medallist last played for Fremantle in round two against Essendon and picked up 25 touches and took seven marks in his comeback from injury for Peel.
Sean Darcy
The 20-year-old is on the verge of a comeback from a long stint out with injury after injuring his PCL in round two in the WAFL. The ruckman seems the most likely to replace Sandilands and help support Michael Apeness in the ruck. Darcy racked up 31 hitouts for Peel on Saturday, took five marks and kicked three goals. He is yet to play for Fremantle in 2018 after a promising year with eight appearances in 2017.
Scott Jones
If Darcy doesn’t get up for selection, Jones seems the most likely option after showing promising signs in his two games for Fremantle to date. Jones worked as a support for Darcy in the ruck for Peel on Saturday with 13 hitouts.
Taylin Duman
An unlucky run with injures has kept Duman out of Fremantle’s starting 22 since being a late withdrawal against Adelaide with back soreness. Duman was then ruled out a week later with concussion. Against Swan Districts, the defender collected a season-high 31 touches, while also taking five marks and kicking a goal. Duman has played five games for Fremantle in his debut AFL season, last starting in round 11 against Collingwood.
Danyle Pearce
Pearce was arguably best on ground for Peel against Swans with 35 touches, eight marks and three tackles. It was the fourth time in his past five WAFL appearances that the experienced midfielder has collected 30 disposals or more.
