Fremantle defender Joel Hamling has had arthroscopic surgery on his injured ankle.
Hamling suffered the injury in February, when landing heavily on his left leg after contesting a mark at training.
He had surgery the following week.
“The purpose of today’s surgery was to remove some scar tissue which was hampering the recovery process,” general manager of football Peter Bell said on Thursday.
“The surgery went well, and we expect that Joel will shortly be able to resume his rehabilitation program.”
