Michael Johnson was training unhindered with the main group on Wednesday morning and may be available for the round 20 Carlton Draught Derby.
Johnson tore his hamstring in his 200th game against Richmond in round 10 and has been kept to running duties in recent weeks.
During a light training session, he took part in drills and appeared to have no lingering issues from the leg injury.
Senior coach Ross Lyon kept a close eye on proceedings and was vocal during the drills.
Lyon told 6PR on Tuesday that Johnson was likely to play next week whether for Peel in the WAFL or AFL.
“The plan is he’ll be available for selection next week,” he said.
“Where that is, we’re not sure.”
