Zac Dawson was running at full strength and completed a high intensity training session with the main group on Wednesday.

In good signs for the tall defender, who is still recovering from a groin injury, he was in good spirits and trained hard.


 
Dawson is still two weeks away from a return but it’s good news for Freo, who have lost fellow defender Alex Silvagni for three months, who requires hamstring surgery.

Danyle Pearce trained away from the main group, running laps with Ed Langdon and Lachie Weller.


 
Forward Chris Mayne warmed up with the main group but then spent time completing sprint runs with on his own, before running laps.
 
Ruckman Aaron Sandilands warmed up with the main group but spent some time on the bike in the gym.
 
Irish recruit Sean Hurley’s skills looked good as he kept pace with the squad during the drills.
