Fremantle supporter group The Sirens have continued to show their generosity after they raised some much-needed funds to support health staff amid the Covid-19 crisis.
Instead of going to footy for what would have been Fremantle’s first home game of 2020 against Hawthorn on Sunday, the group held an online raffle and raised $500, which has been handed over to staff at the Joondalup Health Campus.
Many members of The Sirens are healthcare workers themselves and the group was motivated to give to those on the front-line.
The all-female supporter group has a tradition of digging deep for a cause. They have been long-term supporters of the club’s annual Starlight Purple Haze fundraiser for the Starlight Children’s Foundation, raising more than $15,000 in 2019 alone to support seriously ill children and their families.
The Sirens are as passionate about Freo as they are generous, and the Fremantle Football Club is delighted to see they are keeping their spirits up by giving to others.
Well done to The Sirens from everyone at Freo and we look forward to seeing you at the footy again one day…hopefully soon!
