Trent another great win, that’s five in a row now, how does it feel?
It’s really good. We weren’t happy with the last two wins, we weren’t content in the way we played. Today we got back to the way we wanted to play and I am really pleased with the result.

At one stage of the game there was six inside 50’s and five goals, how important is efficiency inside 50?
It’s what we pride ourselves on and that comes about from our tackles. When we turn the ball over (that) is when we get space. At quarter time I think it was 21 tackles to eight and that was a big part of our game at that stage. Our tackle pressure enables us to turn the ball over and that’s why we get space in front. We know our forwards are dangerous in that scenario.

You put Laura Pugh down forward to take on Kate Lutkins, that was a great coaching move from you.
We were confident that Janelle Cuthbertson was the right match up for Jesse Wardlaw, and Wardlaw got off to a really good start so for Janelle to fight back was really important. With Evie Gooch coming back in, none of our backs deserved to go out after last week so we thought we had to use one of them in a negative role. I rate Lutkins so highly, not only does she stop attack but she also gives drive. We did that with Laura and Laura did the job really well.

Is it about keeping the momentum into next weekend?
We will look at the Bulldogs, I really like their list, they are a young and exciting list. We know their best footy is really exciting so we will prepare for them and look forward to getting away on the road with the girls. We’ll make sure we can hopefully come home with four points.

You said the past two weeks haven’t been ideal, were you happier with the girls efforts today?
To be honest I haven’t been that unhappy. The girls themselves have been really hard on themselves, the midfield group in particular. They were really determined to come out and play well today and their tackle numbers and pressure through our midfield was really pleasing. In the last quarter I thought we really dominated the game, we didn’t score but we didn’t need to at that stage. I was really pleased with the way we finished off, we know our fitness is really good but so was Brisbane's.

You don’t lose the clearances too often, but there was still a lot of inside pressure?
I looked at the stats at three quarter time and Alexandra Anderson and Emily Bates hadn’t laid a tackle between them and Kiara Bowers had 12. So we know even if we don’t get the first hand on the ball, which we prefer to, our pressure will be what keeps us in it.

You like flying under the radar, but you are now the only undefeated team in the competition. Do you  feel like the pressure is going to come back on you guys now?
I think North Melbourne, Melbourne and Carlton have all been really impressive at different times. Everyone has just had one really flat game, we’ve just happened to win our flat game, which is why we are undefeated.  It’s wide open, but we have given ourselves a chance to press for finals, hopefully high up that conference ladder which I think you will need to do.
