There’s been improvement across the board from the younger players, according to Fremantle skipper David Mundy.
“It’s been promising,” Mundy said.
“We’ve seen fluctuations, which is to be expected.
“Our goal is to iron out those fluctuations and become a more consistent team for a longer period.”
After fracturing his ribs and suffering a punctured lung in round three, Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands made his return to the senior side in the 46-point loss to West Coast on Sunday at Domain Stadium. He finished the game with 12 disposals, four marks and 23 hitouts and Mundy said it was fantastic to have him back.
“Aaron’s a fierce competitor,” he said.
“By his own admission he was really gassed after the game on the weekend.
“I see gradual improvement for him for the rest of the year.”
HBF Injury Update: Fyfe surgery successful
Fremantle take on the third placed Crows this Sunday at Domain Stadium, a team Mundy says will be hard to stop.
“I have a huge amount of respect for Rory Sloane and Scott Thompson in their midfield,” he said.
“They’re experienced seasoned veterans and will certainly take some stopping.
“They drive their team.”
