Stephen Hill is continuing to make headway in his return from a hamstring injury according to high performance manager Jason Weber.
Hill is progressing through a strength and running program as a part of the rehabilitation group and is expected to return to full training during the coming fortnight.
“Stephen’s going really well, he’s turning great corners and getting his strength back in his running,” Weber said.
“We hope to see him back towards some football training next week.”
Forward Hayden Ballantyne is also expected to make a return to full training soon.
“Hayden’s been progressing very well,” Weber said.
“He ran very close to top speed yesterday and he should be back to team training in the later part of this week and progressing through next week.”
There is positive news for rookie Josh Deluca, listed as a test for Peel’s clash with Swan Districts on Saturday at Rushton Park.
“Josh has been training with the team, so hopefully he’ll get a full week in,” Weber said.
“We expect he will be available for match committee.”
Weber added that fellow rookie Matthew Uebergang is making strides on the long road back from a hamstring injury.
“Matthew’s had a very complicated injury but I’m happy to say that it looks like he’s turned a corner,” Weber said.
“He’s making some good progress. He’s been working very hard and hopefully we’ll see him back on the field soon.”
