Effort has become a trademark of the Fremantle Dockers in recent years and it is a “non-negotiable”, according to ruckman Zac Clarke.
Speaking to 6PR’s Sports Today on Wednesday, Clarke said it was a fundamental part of the team’s ethos.
“It’s a non-negotiable with footy these days,” he said.
“It’s a minimum standard that we set at the footy club.
“Everyone can do it, it’s not measured by talent.”
Clarke said the effort was high in the first three rounds of the season, with Freo heading into this Saturday’s match against Sydney undefeated, but there is still room for improvement.
“We’ve brought that good effort, that we’re known for,” he said.
“There are a few things we can improve on.”
Fremantle play Sydney in the 20th annual Len Hall Tribute Match this Saturday April 25 at Domain Stadium.
