Injured Fremantle defender Alex Silvagni took part in his first training session with the main group in a number of weeks on Wednesday.
Silvagni is recovering from a hamstring injury he received playing for Peel Thunder in April.
Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber said Silvagni was on track with his recovery.
“Sos (Silvagni) joined into training for his first run, “ he said.
“He’s progressing well and we look to have him into full loading next week and have him available very, very soon.”
In more good news for Fremantle’s defensive stocks, Zac Dawson will have a surgical review next week and possibly have his wrist brace, that is protecting his broken thumb, removed.
“Zac’s training fully with the team, obviously not putting his broken thumb into the fray, but using his left hand extensively,” he said.
Michael Johnson (hamstring) is increasing his running speed and is four to six weeks away from a return.
Ed Langdon (hamstring) trained fully on Wednesday and is expected to be available for selection for Peel Thunder this week.
