Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne plans to stay in shape over Christmas by visiting his local gym during the break in the club’s 2016 pre-season campaign.
“During the Christmas break we get two weeks off and I come down to Anytime Fitness, Kwinana,” he said.
“It’s good to get away from the club for a couple of weeks and mentally freshen up over Christmas.
“I even come down and do a session once a week during the season just to try keep my fitness a bit higher then everyone else.”
Ballantyne’s local gym has now become his business after the 28-year-old became a part owner of the Kwinana complex in 2015.

“I have everything I need here for my weights and aerobic [fitness],” Ballantyne said.
“[There’s] fitness machines, treadmills, a fitness centre where we do some bike work and skipping, and we do some boxing.”
The gym features a variety of machines, weights and classes.
“Health and fitness is very important for everyone,” Ballantyne said.
“No matter who you are or how fit you are, come on down and have a look.
“It’s a good New Year’s resolution, even a Christmas present for someone who wants to jump in the gym and keep fit.”
