Fremantle will need to quell Collingwood’s high scoring ways to win Thursday night’s blockbuster at Domain Stadium.
Collingwood have kicked 1208 points this season, ranking them second in the AFL behind West Coast, while Fremantle have notched up 969 points.
The Pies are among the most in-form teams in the league having won four in a row leading into Round 13.
Fremantle defender Lee Spurr said Collingwood were well structured in defence and offence.
Desire needs to be higher: Spurr
“We want to limit their scoring and hopefully score ourselves,” he said.
“They are scoring really well, defensively they press well and have been for a number of years.”
Spurr said Collingwood has a talented midfield.
“They are a really strong midfield…they are bringing a lot of intensity around the ball,” he said.
“Whoever can go harder and longer for the fourth quarters, and do the basics well, will come out with the result.”
Fremantle play Collingwood at Domain Stadium on Thursday 26 June. Bounce down is at 6.10pm.
