A six-day break will be no excuse for Fremantle against Sydney in Saturday’s blockbuster match, according to Michael Barlow.
Freo will take on last year’s grand finalist in the 20th annual Len Hall Tribute Match on Saturday night, after a six-day turn around following Sunday’s Carlton Draught Derby.
Fast start sets up Freo's win
Sydney will come off a seven-day break after its 21-point win over Greater Western Sydney on Saturday, but will travel west.
“I don’t read too much into a six, seven or eight day break,” Barlow said.
“West Coast were coming off a nine-day break and no travel, we came off a seven-day break and travel, and it was pretty evident we were up for the challenge.
“Such is the environment of professional sport, we are really well looked after, really well monitored.
“Six day, seven day or eight day break, it doesn’t worry us, we just love competing and love playing for the jumper.”
Fremantle take on Sydney at Domain Stadium on Saturday April 25. Bounce down at 6.45pm.
