Despite another strong performance in the WAFL for Peel Thunder, Tendai Mzungu may still not fight his way back into the Fremantle side this week.
Senior coach Ross Lyon said Mzungu would likely make it into Fremantle’s 25-man squad for Saturday’s game against North Melbourne.
“He played really well (for Peel), he’s a frustrated man,” Lyon said.
Mzungu racked up 29 possessions, nine tackles and two goals in Peel’s win over South Fremantle
“He’ll come up for selection but we haven’t got too many injuries, everyone is in solid form but he might have to wait again to get his opportunity,” Lyon said.
Mzungu last played an AFL game in Round 4 against Sydney, coming on as the substitute.
Lyon admitted there were selection headaches with several players putting in cases for a call-up and Peel having a bye this weekend.
