At the halfway point of 2015, AFL.com.au has released its mid-year All Australian team with three Fremantle players making the cut.
Four-time All Australian Aaron Sandilands, 2014 AFLPA MVP Nat Fyfe and two-time Ross Glendinning Medallist Lachie Neale have been named in the mock side.
Fyfe is named as a ruck rover, while Sandilands and Neale have been named on the bench.
The article said Fyfe was without doubt the best player in the game this season.
“Fyfe’s size and strength has made him a force at stoppages where has won an AFL-high of 98 clearances,” it said.
The article said Sandilands’ impressive 2015, which has included him twice breaking the VFL/AFL record for most hit-outs makes him an obvious inclusion.
Lachie Neale was praised for his chemistry with Sandilands and becoming a “crucial cog” in Fremantle’s midfield.
“He’s been a prolific ball winner, averaging 26.7 disposals,” it said.
