An emerging local band that can name Mark Ronson among its fans, has thrown its support behind Fremantle #ForTheFinals.
Freo-based Koi Child are set to release their debut album early next year, which is produced by another Fremantle fan, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker.
The video for the band’s latest single Black Panda is shot around some of the city’s recognisable streets and takes inspiration from the Beastie Boys.
Freo fans will be quick to notice lead singer Shannon Patterson’s Fremantle Dockers cap.
It has become a mainstay of the group’s live shows and Patterson said it would be worn proudly during the finals
