For the first time in Fremantle’s history, the club has broken through 50,000 members.
The major milestone was achieved this week with the tally peaking at 50,111 ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster 20th annual Len Hall Tribute Match against Sydney.
It is the sixth consecutive year of membership growth for the club.
Member number 50,000 is Lauren Bruce, who received a signed jumper from captain Matthew Pavlich.
Freo chief executive Steve Rosich told The Weekend West the unprecedented membership levels was a reflection of the club’s passionate supporters.
“This is a great result for the club and reflection of the outstanding support, which we’re lucky to have,” he said.
“It follows a membership renewal campaign that saw an unprecedented number of members rejoin the football club for 2015 and then a new member campaign that has seen a number of new members join the ranks.”
"Our renewal rate was in the high 90 percentile, which ia terrific and showcases the passion and loyalty of our members."
Rosich said club president Steve Harris spoke at the season launch and thought 50,000 was within reach.
"It's pleasing that the president's premonition has become reality," he said.
Freo take on Sydney at Domain Stadium Saturday April 25. Bounce down at 6.45pm.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6.10pm to watch the Len Hall Tribute ceremony.
