Forward Hayden Ballantyne says his goal in 2016 is to play every game of the season, a feat he is yet to accomplish.
Ballantyne played just 15 games in 2015 due to suspension and a serious injury to his pectoral tendon mid-year.
By his own admission, his return of 15 goals was less than he’d hoped.
The most games Ballantyne played in a single season was 21, in 2012 and 2013.
His 49-goal haul in 2014 from 20 games earned him a call-up to the All Australian team.
It felt like the Olympics: Ballantyne
“I’ve got to try stay on the park for the whole season,” Ballantyne said.
“I’ve always missed games whether that be through injury or suspension.
“My aim this year, as it is every year, is to play every game this season.”
Ballantyne said his job was simple, apply pressure and hit the scoreboard.
He said he had returned fit to training on Tuesday after playing in the International Rules series during the off-season.
