Tanner Smith
Tanner played deep as a key back opposed to Brandon Ellis and Robert Young. He showed a great passage of play in the first quarter where he covered for his teammates and was able to effect a strong spoil. At different times Tanner showed some good physical bodywork and smart positioning.
Alex Pearce
Alex played as a half-back opposed to Jack Perham he looked to protect his teammates in the air and overall showed some good defensive positioning and bodywork to stop the opposition launching in the aerial contest.
Ethan Hughes
Ethan played at half-back opposed to Ryan Lester-Smith and Jamie McNamara. On several occasions he was quick to react to the kick and beat his opposition to the ball. He showed several strong passages where he was competitive in the one-on-one contest.
Tom Vandeleur
Tom played at half-back for the Peel reserves. He showed more intent to compete and worked harder to get into the game compared to the previous week. He showed some good run from defence where he looked to get to spots to receive and gave some drive off half-back early.
Sean Hurley
Sean played his first game of AFL as a key back for the Peel Thunder reserves. He looked comfortable in the one-on-one contests. Early in the game he positioned well and took a good mark and was quick to give the handball. He showed some good composure to evade and hit the short kick in the corridor. It was a positive game for Sean.
