Vocal fans in the final quarter helped Freo across the line in a nail-biting final quarter against Sydney.

Chris Mayne, who kicked the final goal of the game to seal the win, said the fans were like an extra player.
 
“We know our fans are terrific,” he said.
 
“To all our fans out there, we thank you.
 
“To be there for us to make it really loud and uncomfortable for the opposition.”
 
Stephen Hill, who collected 21 disposals, said the players hear the crowd get excited and feed off it.
