Fremantle senior coach Ross Lyon is wary of the challenge of the player that comes in to replace suspended Cat Steven Motlop.
The exciting Geelong midfielder was ruled out of the clash with Freo for disciplinary reasons.
Talking points ahead of Sunday's game
Lyon said he knows the next player to come in will be just as tough to deal with due to their desperation for a spot.
“Look, I understand he’s quality,” Lyon said.
“But it just highlights we’re humans, we’re fallible and he’s a really good person, obviously.
“I don’t buy into other club’s issues but they’re keeping their standards so that sees him go out.
“But I know the next person in, the guys you named like (George) Horlin-Smith, (Jordan) Murdoch, (Andrew) Mackie…they’re significant talents and very quick.
“(They’re) hungry for an opportunity, so if anything, it brings something else that we have to deal with.”
Freo takes on Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Sunday 12 April.
