It is hard to imagine star Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe nervous.
He plays in front of thousands each week but his house mate Cam Sutcliffe reckons the back-to-back AFL Players’ Association Most Valuable Player was not his usual self before Tuesday night’s vote count.
“He’d probably never say, but I think he was pretty anxious before the night,” Sutcliffe said.
“He took a while to get ready.”

A group of Fremantle players watched the count at a function at The Old Brewery in Perth, among them was Fyfe and Sutcliffe.
Fyfe won the peer voted Leigh Matthews Medal by a landslide and secured his second MVP award, a feat only achieved by Wayne Carey, Michael Voss, Greg Williams, Chris Judd and Gary Ablett Jnr.
Sutcliffe said Fyfe had not yet put his latest award on display.
“Fyfey hasn’t put the trophy up anywhere around the house yet, I’m waiting to see it somewhere,” he said.
