David Mundy says fellow Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe will be doing everything he can to get back playing as soon as possible.
Fyfe missed Sunday’s win over the Giants due to a groin injury and did not train with the main group on Wednesday.
Training report: Johnson on the move
He took part in a number of running drills following the main session and is listed on the HBF Injury Update as a test for Sunday’s game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
“I don’t know when he’ll be back,” Mundy said.
“One thing I do know is he will be doing everything he can to get back as soon as he can.”
Mundy said there was a focus last week on how the midfield would structure and work without the two-time Doig Medallist.

“We spoke about the need to get an even balance without Nat,” he said.
“He is a great player, commands a lot of respect and is a key driver for us.
“Matt de Boer, Tendai Mzungu and Nick Suban really stepped up on the weekend and filled the void.”
