A strong level of enthusiasm among Fremantle’s young players has helped maintain positive team chemistry, according to senior coach Ross Lyon.
“Losing is a difficult environment at AFL clubs,” Lyon said.
“We’ve been quite vibrant, I think the youth do that.
“They’re just trying to get some traction and get a footprint in the AFL.”

Fremantle have had 14 players with fewer than 50 games take the field so far this season, seven of which debuted within the past 12 months.
“They tend to be a bit more vibrant on the back of losses,” Lyon said.
“That’s the enthusiasm of youth, and I think that’s stood us in good stead.
Fremantle had back-to-back NAB Rising Star nominations, with Connor Blakely in round 11 and Lachie Weller in round 12 both receiving the honour.
Fremantle host the Swans on Sunday at Domain Stadium at 1:20pm.
