Fremantle Dockers midfield coach Marc Webb admitted his respect for North Melbourne’s Brent Harvey, with the dynamic evergreen coming off yet another impressive performance in his illustrious 412-game career.

Harvey kicked a career-high six goals last week against Melbourne, but Webb said while “Boomer” was in fine form, North Melbourne were much more than just a one-man team.

“He’s one we all have to respect, but it’s not just a one-player job,” Webb said.

“He’s been a damaging player, and we respect that, but as a team we need to make sure that we’re on him when he’s around the stoppages and when he’s outside that we can limit his impact.”

Talking points: Rd 4 v North Melbourne

Webb said that while Harvey is an elite talent, what’s most impressive is how he contributes to the team football that has made North Melbourne one of the form teams of the competition, so far in 2016.

“He’s an elite player around centre-forward and around their clearances,” he said.

“But they’re a complimentary team so he also plays a part in that.

“They’ve been playing some very consistent football and scoring well.

“It’s going to be a big challenge, and they’re a form team.”
