Fremantle’s WAFL brigade is excited about the chance to make history with Peel Thunder when the side faces Subiaco in the McDonald’s WAFL Grand Final on Sunday, according to Ed Langdon.
Langdon, who signed a one-year contract extension with Fremantle, said the players are invested in Peel’s success.
“I can honestly speak on behalf of every Fremantle player and everyone down at Peel, we’ve absolutely loved this season and, in particular, the last three weeks,” he said.
“We are really excited about this weekend.
“It’s a great opportunity for the Peel Thunder football club and the Fremantle Football Club.”

The 20-year-old, whose extension ties him to Freo until the end of 2017, believes the Fremantle players will have a slight advantage running out onto Domain Stadium having played there throughout the AFL season.
“I think Subiaco have played there a fair bit over the years as well,” he said.
“Any advantage we can take going into the Grand Final is pretty handy.”
Langdon found his feet at AFL level through the middle part of the season, gathering at least 20 disposals in four consecutive games and will be hoping that experience will help him when he takes to the field on Sunday.
