Freo set for three rookie draft picks
The club will add another three players at Wednesday's Rookie Draft
Fremantle enters Wednesday's AFL Rookie Draft with selections 16, 32 and 47.
Before the Rookie Draft, five clubs will choose players in the Pre-Season Draft. They are GWS, Collingwood, Richmond, Carlton and Sydney.
Those clubs are eligible because they have not filled their list with the maximum of 40 players, however, AFL.com reports there is a strong chance clubs other than the Giants won't utilise their picks.
Clubs must have a minimum of 38 players on the primary list with amaximum of 40 players. Rookie list selections can then total betweenfour and six with the number dependent on the primary list number tomake a total list number of 44
GWS, who will use the first Pre-Season Draft selection on Sydney Swans' midfielder Jed Lamb, is allowed to have between 44 and 50 players on its senior list in 2014 and up to nine rookies under the player concession rules. Gold Coast is back to 40 senior list players with up to nine rookies.
The Rookie Draft will take place immediately after the Pre-Season Draft. Each selection a club makes in the Pre-Season Draft means it has one fewer selection in the Rookie Draft.
