Fremantle has received pick four in the AFLW Draft Lottery ahead of the competition’s inaugural season in 2017.
At a ceremony in Melbourne this morning, coaches of the eight clubs drew picks out of a barrel to determine the order of the draft, to be conducted on Wednesday October 12 in Victoria.
The draft order from 1-8 is: GWS, Brisbane Lions, Carlton, Fremantle, Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, Adelaide, Melbourne.
Selections will be made in a 'snaking order' thereafter, with Melbourne to have the first pick of the second round and GWS the eighth.
For clubs outside of Victoria the allocation of draft picks holds only symbolic value, given each interstate team will have exclusive access to a pool of players that have nominated for their respective state drafts.

Fremantle has already recruited marquee signings Kara Donnellan and Kiara Bowers, priority signings Ebony Antonio and Kirby Bentley, and rookie selections Kim Mickle and Gabby O’Sullivan.
Bowers is recovering from surgery to repair the ACL she ruptured playing for Coastal Titans in their WAWFL Semi-final against Swan Districts in August.
The 24-year-old midfielder will miss the 2017 season, but will stay at the club with an off-field role.
Nominations for the WA state draft close on Friday 30 September at 3pm WST.
