Aaron Sandilands has been cleared of any wrongdoing following an investigation into a bump laid on Sam Durdin during the fourth quarter against North Melbourne on Sunday at Optus Stadium.
AFL match review officer Michael Christian deemed the head clash between the two players to be accidental after Sandilands initially made contact with Durdin’s upper chest area.
The ruling means Sandilands is free to face Collingwood next Sunday at the MCG, however the ruckman remains under an injury cloud due to a concussion suffered during the same incident.

In other cases assessed, Bailey Banfield and Brennan Cox were fined for incidents involving North Melbourne’s Shaun Higgins.
Cox was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Higgins during the first quarter.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from North Melbourne, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
The incident carries a $3000 sanction, down to $2000 with an early plea.
Banfield was charged with misconduct against Higgins during the third term.
Misconduct is a fixed financial sanction of $2500, however Banfield can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.
