Harley Bennell has pulled up well after his game for Peel on Saturday and trained with the team on Tuesday morning.
High performance manager Jason Weber gave an update on the midfielder’s progress after his first game back at WAFL level since round 1, 2016.
“It was great to see Harley get up and going, he has pulled up really well, he trained today so we are hopeful to see a similar performance this weekend,” Weber said.
Tommy Sheridan missed last weekend’s game against the Eagles after sustaining a hamstring injury against North Melbourne but Weber is hopeful Sheridan will return to the action soon.
“Tommy is tracking along exactly to plan, it was a relatively small injury so hopefully in the next two week he will be up and going with the team again,” Weber said.
Weber also gave an update on Ed Langdon’s knee injury.
“Ed had a relatively significant injury some weeks ago on his knee and he had been able to progress enough to play WAFL but hadn’t quite made it back,” Weber said.
“We are giving him a period of rest now and, hopefully, in the next couple of weeks he will be up and running.
