Former Fremantle board member Brian O’Donnell has been elected as one of three new commissioners of the WA Football Commission on Wednesday night.
O’Donnell served on the Fremantle board for 10 years, completing his service in February 2016. He was recently recognised for his contribution to the club with the awarding of the Con Regan Medal at the 2017 Doig Medal Presentation Dinner in October.
WAFC Chairman Murray McHenry congratulated all three on their appointments, with O’Donnell joined by the re-elected Grant Dorrington and the newly elected Chris Cottier.
“This year’s election attracted a record field of high-quality candidates and I am pleased to welcome Brian and Chris as new commissioners,” McHenry said.
“They bring the skills, experience and qualifications required for the WAFC board to best meet our goals over the next five years in what promises to be an exciting and challenging time for football.”
