Training Report: Wednesday 29 January
The Fremantle playing group worked extremely hard in 30-degree heat this morning.
More than 80 litres of water and Gatorade was downed during a 65-minute session at Freo Oval.
Injured defender Garrick Ibbotson joined in with the main training group for a short period, while new dad Clancee Pearce also trained with the main group for the entire session.
With less than six weeks until Freo take on Collingwood in a blockbuster season opener at Etihad Stadium, the coaching group ran the players through a match simulation drill to end the session.
Tanner Smith matched up on new recruit Scott Gumbleton, Aaron Sandilands and Jack Hannath battled it out in the ruck and Matthew Pavlich and Luke McPharlin lined up in the goal square.
Still working on their return from knee injuries, Kepler Bradley and Anthony Morabito completed change of direction and sprint running drills.
Zac Clarke was seen in the gym working hard on his upper body as he returns from a knee injury.
