Ten-year-old Phoebe Baudains joined hundreds of young Freo fans at today’s School Holiday Fun footy clinic held at Cockburn ARC.
A passionate fan since birth, Phoebe wore her signed Fremantle cap proudly while practising her goal-kicking skills on the Victor George Kailis Oval.
“Being around the players and getting to play footy with them was pretty fun,” Phoebe said.
“It’s been the best part of my school holidays so far.”
Sporting a pair of anchor earrings, she exclaimed that she was most excited about meeting her favourite Fremantle Dockers player.
“Meeting Aaron Sandilands was the highlight of the day,” Phoebe said.
“I like him because he’s so tall and the best player in the team.”
With ten stations of footy activities to rotate through, Phoebe mentioned she was able to sneak a peak in the players’ locker room.
“We got to go into the locker rooms and see all the players’ stuff like their outfits and shoes,” Phoebe said.
“It was pretty cool.”
Like most of the fans out there today, Phoebe can’t wait for the Derby this weekend, and is confidant that Fremantle will remain undefeated at Optus Stadium.
“My family are Fremantle Dockers members, so I’m going to the game this weekend with them,” Phoebe said.
“I think Freo will take down the Eagles.”
