Nathan Wilson hopes Fremantle can continue the club’s unbeaten run at Optus Stadium when Freo takes on the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night for the Len Hall Tribute Game.
Early signs suggest that Optus Stadium is becoming one of the most testing away trips in the AFL, and if it wasn’t for Freo’s impressive start at the ground, the Bulldogs might welcome a change of venue from Domain Stadium.
The Doggies haven’t beaten Fremantle in their past four visits to Perth, needing to go back to round one of the 2009 season for their last win against Freo in WA.
“It’s going to be good coming back home to Optus Stadium and seeing all the purple back,” Wilson said.
“We’re two and zip there at the moment so it will be good to make it a fortress and make teams scared to come over and play against us.”

Wilson said the mood in the Freo camp is positive despite coming off a 31-point loss to GWS on Saturday in Canberra.
The defender felt Freo put up a good fight against his former side, especially at a ground GWS has dominated at.
Heading into the game, the Giants had won seven straight games at UNSW Canberra Oval with an average winning margin of 48 points.
“I thought the Giants brought the heat, it was a good game and we have to base ourselves against the best,” Wilson said.
“I think they’re going to be pretty good this year. It’s good to get a measurement on where you’re going to be.
“Against a team that’s been in the last two prelims, to go to Canberra and perform how we did, we’ve got to take a lot out of it.
“There’s going to be some good as well as RFIs (room for improvements) to take from that.”
