Fremantle’s Ashlee Atkins will miss round one of the 2019 NAB AFL Women’s season after accepting a one-match suspension for engaging in rough conduct with Carlton’s Shae Audley during the third quarter of Freo’s 11-point win on Sunday.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from Carlton, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the body.
Cassie Davidson also accepted her reprimand for striking Carlton’s Tayla Harris during the third quarter.
The early plea means Davidson will be available for round one of the 2019 season.
